Excellent post and a truly vital role in the GTM machine. And while you’re absolutely correct that no universities or professional institutions have formal programs for educating PMs … it’s deeply untrue that no one teaches the skills or the capabilities or the career path. Speaking purely for myself, this is a central pillar of my practice and has been for more than 20 years. During that time I have delivered more than the proverbial 10,000 hours of training to PM professionals in dozens of industry segments, in dozens of countries around the world, and for literally thousands of PMs. I’d love to share the proven models and methods and the mountains of curriculum and assets and coaching frameworks I’ve developed over the years. 🙌

You should, in my peers groups, this is top 3 topic on how to keep and develop talent. Direct sales has so many methodologies to work with, training everywhere. In partnerships, it is so fragmented. Thanks for the comment.

Would love to. Let me know when and how to get on the agenda … this is truly a passion of mine.

I love my role as Partner Manager being a mix of hunting and farming, indeed a mini-GM - and acting like a spider in the net with the right distance and proximity to all relevant stakeholders.
